What is Spiritual Coaching

Spiritual coaching is a guided one-on-one process to help support you to learn how to take mindfulness into your life and off of your cushion. So often, mindfulness is something we practice while meditating but then can quickly forget to use it in our daily life. However, the true power of mindfulness and meditation comes when we bring into our daily lives what has been traditionally called our “informal” practice. While setting time aside daily for a formal practice is equally important to allow us to deepen into peace and stillness in our body, it is through our informal practice that we can begin to embody the realizations we gain through our formal practice. And each of us has moments in our day when we can take a moment to come into the present moment or even practice to be present throughout our the day. While at first this may seem unimaginable, with time, as we continue to practice, it will naturally start to grow in us. For meditation and mindfulness are not something we do, but a state of being where we live and rest from our true nature and not from our conditioned response to life. And as we rest more in our true nature, peace, love, joy, aliveness, silence, and compassion start to arise in us naturally. Through spiritual coaching, I can help guide you to these inner dimensions that exist within you already but have been lost by the internal noise of thoughts, belief, conditioning, physiological response, and emotions, and then how to take into your daily life to experience feeling connected and whole even amidst any chaos or stress that may be arising in your external life. And it is the process that allows mindfulness to truly deepen in us and where our lives become compost for us to bloom into our true nature. The point of meditation is to take the quietness or stillness you are into life just as it is.
